In a heartfelt show of unity and service, the Alumni Batch 1999 of MCC San Francisco, formerly known as Father Urious High School, organized a community outreach program ahead of their Alumni Homecoming held in the last week of December 2024.

The outreach, held in the remote marshland area of Bunuan, Agusan del Sur, brought much-needed support to local residents through food pack distribution, a free dental and medical mission, and community engagement. The initiative benefitted an estimated thirty families, many of whom have limited access to healthcare and basic services.

Spearheading the program were the Alumni Batch 1999 Officers, led by their Batch President, with the special participation of the School President, Rev. Fr. Gabriel D. Dolotina, O.Carm. Fr. Dolotina was accompanied by two visiting Vietnamese Carmelite theologians, Luke and Michael, who offered their presence and pastoral encouragement to the local families.

"This outreach is a reflection of our commitment not just to celebrate our reunion, but to live out the values instilled in us by the Carmelite education we received," said one of the alumni officers. "Giving back to communities like Bunuan reminds us of our shared mission of compassion and service."

The success of the initiative was made possible by donations, logistical support from local partners, and the collaborative effort of alumni who traveled from various parts of the country and abroad. With warm smiles, heartfelt prayers, and acts of kindness, the Batch 1999 alumni proved that even after two decades, their bond and commitment to the community remain strong.
